Twenty for 2020 Mood Boards

A mood board is simply a collection of items or photographs of items that you put together in one place to view how they collectively fit. It can be put together on a bulletin board, laid out on a table or floor, or it can even be created on your computer as just a visual. Gathering a variety of textures, colors, shapes, and products and putting them all in one place is truly one of the best ways to see what your overall design aesthetic currently looks like. If you’re in the planning stages of your renovation or refresh, we highly recommend you start with a mood board.

To help you get a few ideas for your mood board, we asked five influencers to select their favorite Twenty for 2020 products and use them to create the inspiration for new spaces in their homes. Opting for Roosevelt Hill in "Summerfield" by Rustic River™ Hardwood, Erin of Erin Spain Home & DIY added some nature-inspired colors like blue and green, to soften the stark black and white contrast that she loves. She incorporated a sea grass basket, which adds a pop of texture, and pairs brass accents with the overall picture to bring all the neutrals to life.

Undeniably a bright, beachy mood board, Heather of Southern State of Mind assembled a fun creation that will inspire you to move to the beach as soon as possible! Unexpected Elements by Thou Swell

Jewelry is just one of the many unique ways Kevin Francis O’Gara of Thou Swell brings his mood board to life. In this creation, Bright Future in "Marina" by Passages by Tigressá® Carpet, a beautifully textured and colored carpet is paired with a white and green textile to show just how versatile carpet can be. To accompany the carpet, Kevin selected two complementary Invincible™ H2O™ Luxury Vinyl products, West Barclay in "Delightful" and Charleston Place Herringbone in "Pure Beauty". With the Pantone color swatches, this mood board proves there’s no reason to be afraid of color when opting for neutral accents.

The various knobs and color swatches presented with the simplicity of the floors inspire a design that is clean, crisp, and pleasing to the eye.

Living Room & Kitchen Design by Home by Heidi

Embarking on her very own new home build, Heidi Parson of Home by Heidi created the inspiration for her new kitchen and living room designs, with white, cream, and a pop of French blue as the foundation for her palette. For the kitchen, Heidi instantly fell in love with West Barclay in “Delightful” by Invincible H2O Luxury Vinyl for its durability and beauty. For the living room, Bright Future in “Marina” by Passages by Tigressa and Pier 5 in "Canoe" by Lees Studio caught her attention; two carpet styles that are rich in texture and style.

Canopy Bed Vision by Jeweled Interiors

Interior stylist Jewel Marlowe of Jeweled Interiors set out to create a bedroom concept with a canopy bed as its focal point. Choosing So Refined in “Sunflower” by Passages by Tigressa, this beautiful golden-toned carpet became the starting point for a gorgeous assortment of artisan and handcrafted fabrics and textiles. Trending (and Timeless) Floors by The Honeycomb Home

Roxanne of The Honeycomb Home is a successful home décor blogger and trained interior designer whose work has been featured on the Rachel Ray show. Using her favorite flooring products from our Twenty for 2020 collection, Roxanne created beautifully classic and cohesive mood board that could be applied to a number of spaces in the home. Choosing a range of finishes, her hard surface selections were the lighter, warm toned West Barclay in “Delightful” by Invincible H2O luxury vinyl, the medium toned Monterey Heights in “Stampede” by Rustic River hardwood, and Charleston Place in “Pure Beauty” by Invincible H2O – a light colored luxury vinyl plank that can be installed in an eye-catching herringbone pattern. For carpet, Roxanne loved Pier 5 in "Canoe" by Lees Studio and especially loved how this style paired with Monterey Heights from Rustic River.

Colorful and Eclectic Mood Board by Up to Date Interiors

Kathy of Up to Date Interiors’ dream home includes a two-story entry, dreamy staircase, and lots of windows. To go along with her vision, she first picked So Refined in “Sunflower” by Passages by Tigressa – an excellent stain-resistant, durable carpet for a front entry bound rug. Next, she selected Lamu in “Taupe Black” by Carpet One, a striking leopard print style that would certainly turn heads as a stair runner. Yuni Min of Love Your Abode aspires to redesign her daughter’s bathroom one day. Choosing West Barclay in “Delightful” by Invincible H2O luxury vinyl plank for its waterproof properties, plus Fabric Art Modern Textile in “Medium Gray” by Bel Terra tile as a contrasting backsplash. Coastal-Inspired Design Boards by The Happy Housie

Krista of The Happy Housie is building a new home from the ground up and wants to create interiors that feel light and airy, with a modern boho meets coastal vibe. Armed with our Twenty for 2020 products, Krista created three unique mood boards to use as inspiration for her future home. Inspired by blue waters and driftwood, “Beachy Blue Classic Coastal” (left) features Shelby Lane Walnut in “Buried Treasure” by Hydrotek H2O hardwood and Crossroads I in “Bedford” by Innovia carpet. More neutral in tone, “California Chic Coastal” (middle) evokes images of sand, seashells, and white Adirondack chairs, and uses West Barclay in “Delightful” by Invincible H2O luxury vinyl and Pier 5 in "Canoe" by Lees Studio carpet. The final look, “Bold, Bright Cottage Coastal,” (right) showcases fun, summer color and features Highland Springs in “Cape Elizabeth” by Invincible Life H2O luxury vinyl and So Refined in “Sunflower” by Passages by Tigressa carpet.
